We left from East entrance to Cody. Finally we saw some herd of animals. Right when I thought that Bison can't surprise me anymore, I saw this huge herd right on the road. Another herd of moose/deers off the road. And some beautiful views of mountains, roads etc etc. Yellowstone is really cool and we got the best out of our 2 days. 4 days of XC done..
So we saw another Bison, really close-by as you can see. There are just too many Bison there, should be called Yellowstone Bison Park. It shops getting exciting after few.. anyways, after nice breakfast next to river, we did some hiking at Fountains Flat Drive where we almost got off-trail & lost. Hiking trails are really badly marked in Yellowstone. Saw few more bison & a bear, I guess... Midway Basin Geyser is beautiful, looks unreal almost. Just awesome!!
Steamboat & Porcelain Basin were petty cool. We wokeup 6 in morning and got there too early, was kinda foggy. But steamboat was cool, partially erupting and talking to us, which was supposedly highest at some point.. also our cabin & views from last night!!
It was definitely not even closely as grand as grand canyon where we have been 2 yrs ago. We went to North Rim and did lol hiking down to lower falls. The fall was spectacularly & beautiful.. we also was our first wild animal there, a Bison!!
So we got in through North Entrance, there by noon & it was really nice warm weather. Spectacularly views and scenic sights.. fiesta thing we saw was mammoth springs, which seemed cool but becomes pointless once u see all other stuff..
All Montana roads.. soon after this we r on road to Yellowstone. Drove 800 miles on this in 1.5 days!!
